Psalm 139:9-10

I needed a masculine card this week, which is always difficult for me since men don't appreciate doilies, flowers, and lacey borders! I did finally put aside my doily addiction and heat embossed this Sweet n Sassy starfish, placed him on the boardwalk, (hopefully someone will throw him back!) with some sea glass colored Dew Drops and water inspired embossed teal paper. This scripture verse is perfect for any occasion and I mounted it on Spellbinder labels, the bottom one is the new Floral oval, hopefully not too feminine, it reminded me of waves.

Stamps: Sweet n Sassy - Beauty by the Sea
Accessories: embossing folder, Dew Drops, Spellbinder labels and Floral oval die, heat embossing, Tombow markers, foam tape.

Cheers!

Happy Monday! Amber here with your Sweet 'n Sassy post for the day. This is also my last post as part of the Sweet 'n Sassy Design Team as my term is up! I can't believe the time has gone that fast. But that is what happens when you are having fun creating.

I'm here today with a sweet card using Bethany's Birthday Wish. Colored the image with copics and added Crystal Effects to the balloons.

Have a great stamping Monday!

Customer Spotlight Sunday

This week I've found an absolutely darling card by one of our customers to share!  Take a look at what Melissa made for a recent digi challenge:

She used the fun You & Me set,  and stuck with the traditional peas and carrots color scheme.  What a great sketch, too!!

Spring is in the Air!

Hello friends!  Don't you just love Spring?  We've had such a glorious week here...wonderful weather, birds chirping, flowers blooming, time to create!  Spring...what a perfect picture of how God works in our lives.  He takes the dormant, barren, winter times of our lives and brings forth new growth and a fresh outlook...Sorrow may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning!  (Psalm 30:5)  Praise the Lord!

With Spring in mind, I have two cards to share with you today.  The first was inspired by The Sweet Stop sketch. Korin posts a fabulous new sketch over at The Sweet Stop every Saturday.  If you are not familiar with The Sweet Stop, hop on over and join the fun!

Hearing the birds chirping outside my crafting place caused me to reach for this adorable clear stamp set by Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps, "One of a Kind."  I followed the sketch for this week at The Sweet Stop.  The image is colored with copic markers, cut out, and adhered to an oval nestie sponged with some clouds.  The colors were inspired by Bridget's "Hump Day" challenge on the Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps Forum at SCS which was to use aqua and red.  My aqua was more turquoise, but I really liked this combination...it's so cheerful!  The patterned paper was by My Mind's Eye and was perfect for this color challenge!

The blooming flowers of Spring caused me to reach for this beautiful Spring Tulips Digi image for my second card.  This image is also available in a clear stamp set.

Sometimes cropping an image can provide a creative element for a card.  Here...the tulip image was cropped for the first layer and left uncolored.  The second layer was cropped smaller and colored with copic markers. Everything was layered on some green gingham DP. The sketch for this card was from Arizona Maine for the CAS challenge this past Monday on SCS.

I hope you have a chance to enjoy Spring wherever you are this weekend, and can find some stamping time to capture a bit of Spring!

Blessings to you,
Cathymac

He Lives ~

Hello everyone, Spring is here and there are signs of it everywhere. The forsythias are bright and full on our bush this year...it makes me happy! With new life springing forth in the natural, I cannot help but turn to the Life of Christ within the heart of the believer and my heart is overwhelmed with gratitude. My card declares what I feel in my spirit as I look around me.

I chose He Lives for my card and coupled it with this weeks sketch and colour challenges this week over at Splitcoaststampers SC377 & CC367. This image comes with a variety of six sentiments, all appropriate for the upcoming Easter holiday or they would work for any card declaring your faith. Don't you just love these stamps for that very reason? Inspirational and beautiful all together.

Thank you for joining me! Enjoy your day.
~ Mary

~ Sweeeeeeeeeet! And a little Sassy! ~

Happy St. Patty's Day!

I really should be drawn and quartered for being a bad Irish lass.   You would think that I could have at least made a GREEN card for today! LOL

But, alas, I pulled out this super fun Punny Fruits & Veggies clear stamp set and had a fruity good time!

I think the warm weather was making me think of a picnic.   I put the reds and browns and creams together and ... feeling VERY brave, I even managed to sew zig zags with my sewing machine!!!   I am very proud of me! LOL

I'm also thinking of my upcoming anniversary.   We'll be celebrating our 30th anniversary this May and one of our favorite dates when we were just getting to know each other was a picnic basket and a hike.  I'm thinking of surprising him with a outing just like that (weather permitting) in late May.

Thanks for stopping by and indulging me in a trip down memory lane!
Hugs!
Holly

First Class Friend

Hello! Giovana here with a Vintage card for you. I have to confess that this set "Vintage Postcard" is one of my very favorites :) I love Vintage images and this set is just perfect for all your elegant cards.

For my card I created the card base in Kraft Cardstock. I cut a panel from Ivory CS and die-cut and emboss the bottom edge.  I cut a piece of Patterned Paper, this is from Butterfly garden from Pink Paislee, ink all edges and added to the Ivory piece, then added straight stitches.
I stamped the PostCard, For Correspondence and For address only in Vintage Photo distress Ink. The First Class Friend saying was stamped in Walnut Stain Distress Ink as well as the stamp image. It was die-cut using the stamp die.
Finally I added  twill ribbon, a crocheted flower and a pink paper flower.

Hope you like it.
Have a great day!

You Are Amazing!!

I am so in love with the Ticket Sentiments set mainly because it is totally flexible!

First, they can be used in so many ways.  I immediately envisioned bright movie theater colors - like the big cups barrels of popcorn that I always need to make my movie experience complete!  But if you watch this blog you have seen the tickets used on very vintage cards and they are lovely.

Second, there are eight sentiments that can be used in the ticket - from Get Well to Happy Birthday, and All My Love to a simple Thank You!

For today, I went for the bright colors and the "You Are Amazing" sentiment...

I also used various star dies from Sweet 'n Sassy - the Hearts and Stars Scallop Border die and the Stars Die Set.  The set comes with four stars and I have kept them attached to each other, mainly so I don't lose any, but I also like the scenes that I can create with all of the stars!

I hope that I have you seeing stars (and tickets)!!

Glory of the Lord

DJ Rants here, guest designer this month. Wood print designer paper has become popular lately and I really wanted to have it as a background fence for my morning glories. Now I'm the type of girl who wears vintage jewelry and a flowered blouse with my cowgirl boots and jeans, so I added a more elegant background, glittery flourish, seam binding ribbon, and jewels to balance out the country style wood dp and twine.

Stamps: Sweet n Sassy Stamps - Morning Glory
Paper: My Mind's Eye, Echo Park
Accessories: Sweet n Sassy Stamps small Scalloped Border die, Spellbinder dies, embossing folders, twine, seam binding ribbon, embossing powder, heat gun, Tombow markers, water pen, foam tape, glitter glue, doily die, jewel stickers

Cheers!

Vintage Postcard Set

Hello! Monika here today, bringing you a mini note card set with a darling case. It's super easy and so much fun to make.
I decided to combine Vintage Postcard, Wildflowers, and Friendship Script Background clear stamp sets. My goal was to make the case from one 8-1/2" x 11" piece of card stock, and adjust the note cards to whatever size the case would fit. The case ended up being 4" x 4-1/2".
The front is decorated with designer paper from Victoria Gardens Collection by Echo Park, satin ribbon, Baker's Twine, and a hand-made felt flower. The leaves were punched with a Martha Stewart punch, the border punch is from Fiskars. I also used some pearls and added stitching to the top edge of the DP. The magnets for the closure are from Basic Gray.
For the 3-3/4" x 4-3/8" note cards, I just layered all the pretty images with SU! Rich Razzleberry, Blushing Bride, and Crumb Cake inks. On 2 of the cards, I used vellum. Stamped Friendship Script on the pieces with Crumb Cake ink... then sponged and distressed the edges. I used Tim Holtz mini staples to secure the vellum to the card. I did add tiny pieces of double sided tape here and there to make sure the edges were secured.
I also used Baker's Twine and pearls to decorate my set.
Hope you give this a try and surprise someone with this lovely set. There will be a tutorial coming on the case itself on our SplitCoast Member Forum at the end of March, so keep an eye out for it.
Thank you for visiting!
Monika

Customer Spotlight Sunday

Welcome to another Sunday!  I'm a little behind today, thanks to the time change...oops!  I have a lovely card to share today.  I spotted it over in our gallery on Splitcoaststampers - take a look:

This card was created by Julie (aka jkstieber) using the Butterfly Flourish paired with a sentiment from Springtime Cocoa.  I love the warm, distressed look she created!!

Thanks so much for sharing such fabulous creations with us!  You never know when we'll spot your card in our gallery or on one of our challenge blog linky collections, so be sure to keep those amazing uploads coming (we are always on the lookout in our Splitcoaststampers gallery, over at the Sweet 'n Sassy ConnectionPaper Craft Planet, and the linky collections for the Sweet Stop Sketch Challenge and the Digi Challenges)!

Thinking of You

Welcome to the weekend! Anyone have any exciting plans for today? Today is my oldest's birthday and we'll be celebrating eight wonderful years!! Can't believe he is already eight! Goodness, the time goes by quickly!!

Well before I head off to eat cake, let's take a peek at today's card that features the Seeing Spots stamp set. This is such a versatile set, with images that are perfect for all kinds of events and even ones that can be used for backgrounds! There are even a boatload of sentiments too!

One of my favorite images, no surprise, is the butterfly! For this card I stamped three butterflies in three opposite colors and used a 1" punch to cut them out. I also used tiny pearls as bodies and attached them to the card with foam tape. The paper at the bottom of the card is from We R Memory Keepers and the newsprint is from Stampin' Up! Ribbon is from Papertrey and the button is a fun wooden one that I found at Michael's for a bit 'ol dollar!

Enjoy your weekend and eat some cake in honor of our birthday party!
