Happy Thanksgiving

Hello my friends! Happy Saturday to all of you, the weather is finally changing, over here in the Pacific Northwest we are having cool mornings and evenings and leaves are changing colors, my favorite kind of weather and season :). So this is the perfect time to start thinking about "Thanksgiving". This is one of my favorite holidays, in Peru we don't celebrate Thanksgiving, so in all my years living in the USA, this holiday is very especial for me.

For my card I used the "Autumn Bounty Set", colored the image with Touch Twin Markers. I paper pieced the poinsettia and added little bits of Star Dust Stickles.

Season Of Beauty

Hi there and thanks for stopping by!
It's Ceal here to share a CAS Autumn card with you today.  I love going up to the mountains in the fall  to see all the beautiful colors God displays in His creation this time of year. I love the verse  Ecclesiastes 3:11 because God truly does make everything beautiful. If you have not done it lately just go outside look around you and thank God for all He has done and His creation.  For my card I used two different sets Season of Change and New Creature.

A Season of Blessings

I love the graphic leaves and the fun fonts in the Leaf Silhouettes set.  I layered one of the leaves with one of the sentiments for this simple, yet interesting effect...

The layout comes from the current sketch challenge at the Sweet Stop Sketch Challenge blog.  I love all of the flags heading different directions - it's such a festive look!

Have a blessed day!

Gearing Up for A Happy Birthday - Guest Designer Jennifer Ingle

Hello, Sweet 'n Sassy friends! This is Jennifer Ingle here with you today for my final day as Guest Designer! I have had SUCH a fun time playing with Sweet 'n Sassy stamps this month! Thank you all for your kind words and visits, too! For my card today I decided to do a fun steampunk style birthday card using the beautiful Timeless Classic Stamp Set.
Happy Birthday Gears
I random stamped a cream panel and then adhered it, along with a bit of black to a craft card. A couple of brads add a nice finish beside the stamped sentiment.
Happy Birthday Gears (detail)
I love that this card would suit so many different types of people! It's just a fun one! A big thanks to Sweet 'n Sassy for having me here this month! I've enjoyed it so much! Have a happy Tuesday! You can find more of my work on my blog, Just Jingle! Hope to see you around!

Season of Change...

Hello! It's Monika here today, bring you another Fall card. Did you see Jennie's gorgeous card yesterday? What a neat technique on the leaves!

I decided to use leaves on my card too, but I used Season of Change clear stamp set. I loved how my card turned out last week, making my own background with the pretty leaves.

I wanted to do something similar, but this time, I used different colors. What a big difference from the bright colors!

On this card, I stamped the Kraft background paper with SU! Chocolate Chip, Real Rust, and Poppy Parade colors.

It doesn't look that great yet... but cover it with Vellum (speckled with brown ink), and the difference is amazing! The background is toned down and the randomly stamped leaves don't look so messy.

I didn't want to cover up the pretty background, so I used very little embellishments. Just a Prima flower, Baker's Twine, Pearls, and couple of mini staples...

Thank you for stopping by today. Hopefully I inspired you to make some Fall cards today.

Give Thanks

Hello Jennie here with another card to share using Leaf Silhouettes.  This time I used markers to color directly on the stamp for the leaves, adding a couple of colors per leaf to mimic the fabulous colors God reveals through the fall season as the leaves slowly change colors.  I also did a bit of flicking (by coloring on my craft mat with a brown marker, spritzing with water, and picking up the color with a water color brush) to fill in a bit of the "white" space.

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful day!
Blessings,

My Sunshine

Good morning!

For my card today, I used a stamp set from Sweet 'n Sassy called Happy Place  which I paper pieced for an appliqued look.  I thought it would really pop against the white textured background of the card.  Pearls added to the centers of the daisies along with the Peapod Twinery twine, double wrapped and tied were quick embellishments to add to my CAS card..  I also used just a touch of the twine to tie a knot in my button.  Love the pop of green against the white!

Have a great day and I hope you have some sunshine to brighten your day today!

Praise the Lord ~

I love when the stamp set and die coordinate beautifully!!! My heart sings when it all comes together...It is indeed the little things that bring me Joy. I have been into crisp fall cards recently that I felt a need to divert  my attention to pretty birds and flowers for this post. Praise the Lord is a beautiful set that comes with one scripture and four sentiments/declarations. I combined the Kindness die flowers as my embellishments and placed pearls in the centre of each blossom for a complete look.

Why not pull out your sets and see what kind of combinations you can coordinate with your dies? Check out the dies in the store if you don't own any SNSS exclusive dies.

Thank you for stopping by and have a blessed day!
~Mary

Graceful Garden Silhouette

Hello, it's Bridget here - I've got a card for you today using the layout for the Sketch Challenge over at Splitcoaststampers this week, given to us by Korin.  I immediately thought of going for a CAS design with this sketch and though I've added a bit much for a true clean and simple card, I did manage to keep a mostly white background!
I've used Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps Nature Silhouettes, which is one of my favorite sets - I love being able to stamp and then sponge a background with these lovely images.  I added a die-cut fence and butterflies to my silhouette garden.  The sentiment is a beautiful Bible verse from the set Graceful Calla Lily.  This beautiful blessing would be suitable for any occasion or for everyday, a simple prayer Paul wrote in a letter to the church family in Corinth.
It's Wednesday - the week is half way over!  I hope you're having a good one!  Thanks for stopping by today.
Supplies include:
Cheery Lynn Designs Fence Die
Woodware butterfly punches
Twine
Button
Stampin Up dp
Memento Tuxedo Black ink
Spellbinders Nestabilities Circles
SU Pool Party, Rose Red ink

The Year's Last, Loveliest Smile - Guest Designer Jennifer Ingle

Hello, Sweet n' Sassy friends! This is Jennifer Ingle here with you for another Tuesday! As I excitedly grabbed the last bag of pumpkin spice bagels off the shelf at the grocery store yesterday, it hit me. Fall is truly here! And, alas, with that we say goodbye to summer and welcome in the beauty of this season of change! For today's card I decided to celebrate that transition using the beautiful Autumn Leaves Clear Stamp Set!
The Year's Last Smile
I stamped the leaves on the background and embossed them with gold enamel. I stamped the sentiment on a simple banner and added just a touch of coordinating washi tape and some gorgeous burlap string - a fall crafting essential!
DSCN9074
Have you begun your fall crafting? If not, pull on some comfy crafting clothes, pour yourself a hot cup of spice tea or yummy cider or pumpkin spice coffee and grab a handful of candy corn because it's time to stamp some leaves and stuff! Just sayin'! Happy Fall, friends!

Blessings Galore

Hello sweet friends...I hope you had a wonderful weekend!  Cathy here bringing you some blessings galore!  I had a chance to experiment with some beautiful fall colors and a new technique for me..."Smackin' Acetate."  Here's the result:

I took Night of Navy, Really Rust, and Pumpkin Pie markers and scribbled bands of color on a piece of acetate, spritzed it with water, and "smacked" on a piece of Pure Luxury card stock.  After this dried, the beautiful image from the Autumn Collage Clear Stamp Set was inked with Versafine Black Onyx and stamped on top of the blended colors.  The frame part of the image was cut out.  The collage was stamped again on a piece of Vintage Cream card stock and the sentiment stamped below.  This panel was embossed with the Canvas Impression Plate and stitched to a piece of Night of Navy card stock which was adhered to a Vintage Cream card base.  A spritzer tool and markers were used to make the splatters on this panel.  Some Baker's Twine and pearls were added and the colorful collage image mounted on top with dimensionals.  I just love the many blessings the Lord provides during the fall season!

My second card was submitted for the sketch challenge in the Fall Frenzy Virtual Stamp Day over in the SNSS member forum at Splitcoastampers.  These adorable turkeys from the Gobble, Gobble Clear Stamp Set bring you more harvest blessings!

There's still one more day left to participate in the VSD fall activities. Hope you'll have a chance to participate in the fun!  We love to see your creations!  Speaking of blessings, three lucky challenge participants will have a chance to win a special SNSS prize!

Take time to enjoy the blessings galore of this beautiful season!

Hugs,
Cathy

Harvest Blessings

Hello my friends! Hope you are having a fantastic day! Today I have a very Fall/Autumn card for you. I combined Rhubarb's Autumn Joy and Leaf Silhouettes sets. I had few leaves from the glittery tutorial and decided to use them here :)

I think Rhubarb is super cute, the image was colored with Copic Markers, I covered the pumpkin with Crystal Lacquer and added some Stickles to all the leaves (from Rhubarb's image).

Hope you like it!

A Season of Bountiful Blessings

I love the sentiments in the set Blessings & Thanks.  The font is gorgeous and each sentiment so meaningful whether it be for Thanksgiving or any time that you want to give thanks.

I wanted to keep the focus on the sentiment so surrounded it with some simple silhouettes from Nature Silhouettes in much lighter colors.

As kids have gone back to school and we start to feel cooler temperatures - I do wish you all a season full of bountiful blessings!!

Milk and Cookies with Guest Designer Jennifer Ingle

Hello, Sweet n' Sassy friends! This is Jingle here with you again today with a super fun card with one of my favorite Sweet n' Sassy stamp sets! For today's card, I used the You & Me Clear Stamp set and I LOVE IT!!!
You Complete Me
Ummm...yup. Pure and utter cuteness! {HEART!} To create this card I simply layered the dark teal cardstock on a white card base and paneled the white background over that. I stamped the milk and cookies in the corner to give it a little extra interest and added just a bit of color.
You complete me (detail)
I hope you have a super wonderful Tuesday!

Season of Change

Hello! It's Monika here today, bringing you a Fall card. It was time to pull out my Fall images and dies this weekend. I needed to change up my theme a bit, and give me butterflies a break! :o)

I love using vellum, so I decided to show you couple of different ways you could dress up your card with it.

I used it on the background to tone the bright color down, plus to give a nice texture to it by dry embossing it. It has such a neat effect when you 'alter' the vellum that way. Depending on the thickness of the vellum paper, it might rip a little bit, but sometimes I don't even mind that... just adds to the texture.

I also used it on the leaf. I die-cut couple of leaves with Season of Change Leaf die out of vellum and white card stock. Then I stamped the leaf image from Season of Change clear stamp set, with 2 different colors on the vellum piece. (Make sure you let the ink dry!). Next I sponged and curled the edges. The white leaf was also sponged on the edges. Then I just glued the 2 pieces together , using adhesive only in the middle.

I used Grunge Borders clear stamps set on the background. The greeting is from Autumn Collage clear stamp set.
To embellish my card, I used brads (also to hold the vellum in place), buttons, ribbon, twine, and cheese cloths.

Thanks for stopping by,
Monika

Peace During the Storm

Hello everyone! Jennie here to share a fairly clean card using the beautiful stamp set Sheltering Cherry Blossom.  I never feel inspired to create when their is pressure due to a recent death of someone's loved one, so try to keep some sympathy cards on hand for when the need arises.  The sentiments in this stamp set are so comforting, as His Word promises to be to those that trust upon Him during their "storm".

I stamped and embossed the floral image with clear embossing powder along the top half of the card.  Embossing always helps when I attempt to color using Copics, as it keeps me "in the lines" :)
Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you have a blessed Sunday!
Blessings,

Flower-ful Birthday Wishes

Good morning!

Jessica here with a bright and colorful flower-ful birthday card to share with you today!  One of my favorite stamping techniques to use is paper piecing.  It's such a quick way to add character and color to your crafting projects.  I used some patterned paper from Echo Park for my card today - the patterns worked so well with these fun flower images.

I stamped the flowers from Your Friendship (now available only in digi format)  in black Versafine ink (my favorite ink for paper piecing because the black is so rich and dark against the patterns) and then trimmed them with scissors.  Then I took my Memento Black marker and edged around the trimmed lines of the flower to finish it off - another important step when paper piecing to help hide any tiny mistakes in your cutting.

Have an enjoyable weekend!
Jessica
